Indirapuram to get a 15 Acre sports arena Dated: Mar, 3 2012 The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) is all set to give the area its very own sports arena right next to NH 24. The 15 acre complex will have facilities for football, cricket and kabbadi. The new sports arena it will start with basic facilities for Indirapuram as well as Noida Sector 62.
"The GDA has identified the land to be developed in phase I. At first, we are simply providing a well-maintained playground. It will benefit both the residents of the area and also the residents of Noida Sector 62, since it is on the border," says GDA horticulture incharge, SP Sisodia.
GDA will start with clearing the land and planting a grass cover. Internal funds will be used for setting up the basic infrastructure for games like football and basketball.
An open ground and a pitch will be developed for other sports like kabbadi and cricket.
The decision to allocate land for a sports arena has was taken keeping in mind the long standing request of the residents to construct a sports complex on the lines of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) complexes in Delhi.Copyright © 2009 - 2010 Gulshan-Homz- All Rights Reserved.
