Need to further strengthen the RWA FederationGhaziabad

Dear Friends,

Jai Hind,

Best governance is selfgovernance. This,by implication, means that RWAs should mandatorily beincluded in the process of governance, at least, at the planning stage sinceRWA's sensitivity towards the local problem is more realistic than of those whoeither come on transfer or have their reins in the Political Bosses located in Delhi. It is fopr thisreason that the importance of RWAs was realised in Delhi and Gurgaon, first and than it spreadto NCR and rest of the Country. As a sequel, RWA Federation Ghaziabad wasconstituted about seven years ago. At the District level, it is the firstFederation of RWAs in the entire Uttar Pradesh. A circular from the then DM isattached to vindicate the credibility of the RWA Federation Ghaziabad.

Friends, it was at the behest ofthe RWAs that the Delhi High Court imposed mammoth financial penalty on theBuilder who did not deliver the promised facilities. It is on account of thejoint strength of the RWAs that Private Companies could not raise theelectricity tariff as per their desire in Delhi ; the credit goes to the RWAsof Gurgaon who managed to extract a decision from the Government that theBuilders will not be allowed to use the under ground water for the purposes ofconstruction ; it is again to the credit of the RWAs of Noida that theAuthority has directed its supervisory staff to note down the numbers of therespective RWAs in their mobile as they do for their relations and consult themat every step from conceptual stage to the implementation stage; bhagidarisystem in Delhi is the direct output of the RWAs movement. Activities of theRWA Federation Ghaziabad are well known to you. It was the Federation which didnot allow the Nagar Nigam to raise the house tax two years ago.

Today, the RWA FederationGhaziabad comprises 223 RWAs  fromIndrapuram Zone, Vasundhara Zone, Mohannagar Zone, Vijaynagar Zone, KavinagarZone and the City Zone. However areas like Kaushambi, Raj Nagar Extension,Cross Links etc are yet to be fully represented in the Federation. We requestyou to kindly do the following for the Federation and in return we will do ourbest to raise your issues with the Administration and at higher levels as theneed be :-

Please spread awareness amongst other RWAs to join     the Federation in their own interest and in the interest of the City. Please     forward this email to as many as you can within Ghaziabad.
Please volunteer if you are ready to devote time,     take on some specific responsibility and move to different areas at short     notice without claiming traveling allowance. We will try to co-opt     you in the Executive Committee.
