We are living in an environment where things are evolving and unfortunately, govt is reactive rather than proactive. Years after allowing builders to build appartments, a modern Appartments act came into being in 2010.
Similarly, UP govt has allowed private township but there is no act/law governing residents rights for its maintenance of common area. Residents rights of Private township are neither covered in Appt act nor forming any such body like CROMA challenges the rights of Nagar Nigam. Also when sever,sever treatment, roads and lights are maintained privately, there is natural question on how much rights Nagar Nigam should have on pvt township.
Keeping all this in mind, I feel that there is no harm in having an association which looks after township issues in general. Also, since AOA is more focused at society level, we should have dedicated people for CROMA along with representatives from different society, who would be AOA members.
