I believe you don't have much options here. The possession will not be given before registration. 


If you don't take possession, builder will impose penalty, which I believe is intentionally quite high!

If you have someone who can take possession on your behalf, you can go for registry & power of attorney simultaneously,on the same time working with lawyer, builder, site in charge to get the possession as soon as possible. For me, paying cash for final settlement & registry really accelerated the process.

I am placed at Africa and coming on leave for 10 days to India. After
this I will be back only in Nov/Dec 12.

As per Mahagun authorities, they will not be able to give me both
possession and registration within those 10 days. I have paid all my
dues including the demand draft for the registration.

I would like to know as to which Option to choose out of the following options:-

Option I - I take the possession of the flat and get it registered in
Nov/Dec 12.
Option II - I do not take the possession as it may lead to damages of
the flat which Mahagun will not do good after possession.
Option III - Extend my leave (Next to impossible) for getting both
Possession and Registration.

Do let me know what to do as it bother my mind. If I have to get
additional leave, it will be leave without pay which you know is a
difficult situation.
