You won't have to surrender your cylinder(s) when you are transferring from one bharat gas distributer to other bharat gas distributer. The process is very simple & easy. Don't get trapped in wrong guidance.
The steps are as follow:
1) go to previous distributer with the original papers with a photo copy and the distributer will issue a transfer voucher. Original papers will be returned. No need to return anything.
2) go to the new distributer with original papers & the transfer voucher along with an address proof. And you need to fill a form and pay hardly 128 rupees (max) and that's it your connection is transferred.
This entire process can be done on the same day without any hassles.

I just got new connection from Bhart Gas last week only spending Rs.5K for 1 cylender and so many follow ups and 3 months waiting
so it not possible to reinvest money to new distributor for me untill its free to transfer..

Some pointers :
1. First you need to surrender your cylinders @ previous location ( bharat vendor )
2. Fill the transfer form and submit to new bharat vendor
3. Get reissued those cylinders from new bharat vendor
