Somewhere I read while buying home at assotech that the building structure is approved for 8.0 intensity on reactor scale..if i am not wrong then we can ask a copy of it from our builder. By the way what was intensity at CR??
It is extremely relieving to note that CR withstood this earthquake. We need to ascertain that there is no damage to the structure. In case there are damages noticed, they should be rectified and strengthened immediately.I saw Sapphire and Topaz towers of Arihant Ambience swaying from sapphire terrace. Even though the buildings withstood the earthquake, it is quite possible that there could some minor damage to the foundation. We will need to scan the lower basement for cracks in the beams & columns.I suggest that a certified structural enginner should inspect the buildings. In Gujarat it was done by the government and certificates of different catagories were given.Best Regards,
