Anoop,
You are absolutely right. The road infornt of GH7 and Galleria has turned into a new blood seeking zone. I have several times seen this road to be converted into a bike racing track. There a regular collisions on this road. I have several times raised the need of speed breaker in front of GH7 Gate no1 and nearby areas. If we don't get the speed breakers soon we will continue to see the rash driving mess on this road.

[[ Need speed breakers on crossing's internal roads as well ]]
Hi,
Main culprit here was high speeding and lack of speed breakers on the internal roads of crossing society specially at the mentioned cut near galleria. We should bring up this issue with the builders to install the speed breakers at such points. Apart from high speeding another problem is that many bikers (educated or not) don't use helmet. But we can't really force every one to wear helmet, its up to their discretion.
Thanks,
Anoop

Hi,
Second solution(zig-zag barricades) looks most effective even in night also.--On Sat, Aug 18, 2012 at 2:37 PM, Rahul Adey <rahuladey14@yahoo.co.in> wrote:
Can't think of a solution for the problem during evening time but for morning hrs especially 8 AM to 10 AM we could definitely try out any of the following solutions:
The main reason for heavy traffic on the pulia in morning hrs is unregulated huge flow of traffic from NH-24. Using speed breakers at frequent intervals is one of the options but would cause lot of inconvenience even when there is moderate traffic flow.
Another possible solution could be using barricades in a zig-zag fashion (like used at police check posts) between NH-24 cut and the main glass gate. The positioning of the zig-zag barricades should be in such a manner that traffic from NH-24 doesn't attain high speeds at all till the glass door. This would also cause a regulated flow of traffic on the remaining stretch and hopefully on the pulia.
Yet another solution could be use of a traffic light (with traffic police) rite in front glass door. That could also help in regulating traffic from NH-24 and from crossings as well.
Regards,
Rahul

the road connecting nh24 and shahberi needs immediate attention. More with the amount of traffic and blatant disregard for traffic rules. We as residents need to put pressure on the govt authorities to have traffic police presence. And putting in umpteen speed breakers wont serve the purpose. I have seen 3-4 accidents on the road just because of them.

A car and me on bike (behind the car) were hardly at 20 KMPH as we were approaching the speed breaker at glass gate from NH-24 when a santro came over 60 to ram into my bike which rammed further into the accent in front of me. My bike got sandwiched and I can't recognize the shambles any more if it really existed as a motor bike 5 minutes back. By god's grace and my daughter's luck I fell on the front car and is alive to write this e-mail to all of you. Every joint of my body is still under an unimaginable fear that moment brought to my life.

We as residents of crossing republik are at the receiving end because we either come out of our township to join the main traffic or have to take a turn from the speeding traffic to go into our township. That 2 KM long straight stretch is very tempting for most of the drivers to speed up. I certainly don't know the resolution but for sure it will take more blood and death on that stretch of 2 KM to declare it an accident prone zone. I truly understand that those few more breakers will be inconvenience to most of the drivers of CR but is that inconvenience of 5-8 minutes really above life of an individual?
