Re: [CROMA] RE: Crossings Republik Update on Widening of Shaberi Pulia, Control Jam on Shaberi Pulia and Connectivity Improvement for Noida via Noida Ext.

Friends,

I want to mention some points here...Please let me know if these are possible.

Definitely we can stop outside vehicle to enter in crossing specially in working hours. As crossing is not a public place, it is a township where with our maintenance charges to our builders we also pay maintenance charges to maintain/develop crossing. If someday if any outside vehicle will damage anything inside crossing premises then crossing has to bear that cost.
Noida extension and Shahberi village are public places and these places do not pay anything to develop their area.

I guess every vehicle of crossing must be having a valid parking sticker. Security guard should ask and check each vehicle entering inside crossing main gate and if any vehicle is entering without sticker then security guard should ask them where they are going and prevent them entering inside the crossing.

Another best way....allow the entry and exit only from Crossing Main gate number 1 in office hours from 07:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 05:00 PM to 09:00 PM on weekdays. No exit should be there from any gate in these timings. Atleast we as a crossing residents will have to understand this and then only we can make our crossing clean and safe from outsiders.

We can put banners for the same inside the crossing Saying 'NO EXIT BETWEEN 07:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 05:00 PM to 09:00 PM' for this so that any outside will come can see and will not come again...

I have seen this in shipra sun city, they have stopped outside entry in Shipra sun city now. Now in shipra sun city, guard check every vehicle and ask them where they have to go and then only they allow then to go inside.

This will be applicable on weekdays only. Weekends are manageable....Once crossing will be developed completely then we will think more this.

Any suggestions?

Disciplined lane driving is coming out to be a unanimous solution. However, is it actually a solution when almost 70-80% of the drivers who use this road do not have access to these emails in which we brainstorm different solutions and take pledge to drive in lanes??

The root cause of the problem is convergence of multiple lanes into a single lane on pulia and not, not following lane driving. Therefore, it is formation of multiple lanes that cause jam every time and the problem will rectify only when there is no formation of multiple lanes OR the pulia becomes wide enough to accommodate multiple lanes.

So till the time pulia doesn't get sufficiently wide I believe multiple lane formation should be stopped.

Still, those who believe that lane driving is a solution, just imagine a situation:

I assume everyone would concur with the fact that there are 3 lanes in morning from crossings to Shaberi and similarly 3 lanes from Shaberi to crossings in evening. So, suppose 3 cars A, B, C (who's drivers have pledged lane driving and not to create multiple lanes) come out from crossings glass door with some time gap in morning and they see 3 lanes are already there.

Now the Q is how these 3 car drivers will decide which is that single lane that they need to follow. With normal human tendency each one would try to get into a lane with shortest length and there starts the problem, multiple lanes... So, inadvertently and because they do not know which lane to follow they continue with multiple lanes..

So let's just keep patience OR change the time when we use this road OR regulate the traffic from NH-24 to a single lane or at max just 2 lanes. We crossings occupants are educated and understand the importance of lane driving but unfortunately cannot control traffic from NH-24

Rahul

The point I want to make is the rules and restrictions should be for everybody.  People from Crossing obey them, but they are obviously disgusted when they see people from outside don't care about the traffic arrangements and make a mockery of of arrangements done by local residents.

It is possible to keep few restrictions on the Crossings internal roads but it is impractical to implement restrictions on the road from ABES to Shaberi. It is a public road and a road connecting three cities Ghaziabad, Greater Noida and Noida. But even the internal restrictions are of no use because well educated and so called sophisticated residents of crossings are not willing to travel a couple of KMs extra. Even in Delhi and Noida there are traffic diversions to avoid traffic Jams for which you might have to travel few KMs extra to take a U-turn.

Well I have seen may colonies in Delhi and in NOIDA where the RWA restricts the use of roads within the colony to be used as a common passage.

Some fools will never learn. I am a resident of GH7 and dutifully travel 1 km everyday to cross the pulia by taking the longer route. However, am surprised that everyday, there r some habitual offenders who will either come from the temple road or from the indane gas agency road. These are shameless people who r ready to create nuisance for all others for their slightest convenience.

Today I had an argument with one of them who was in a white hyundai i10 bearing some UP number and coming from the temple road. The problem is that the person was confident that he was doing right by breaking rules. He did not have any guilt. I believe what we as citizens of the township should do is to note down the car nos. Of such people and publicize them on the respective groups so that these people at least feel some guilt.

I will start doing that from tomorrow. Shayad bhagwan inko buddhi de.

We cannot own a public place like roads and restrict others entry into it. We all are indians and we should respect everyone's time. People  who are coming from Ghaziabad are also human being and want to save some of their time. I'm a resident of Crossings only but i will not stop others using the road.

We have to learn ourselves and teach others to follow traffic rules if possible. If people can keep patience and do not create multiple lanes then it will never take more than 5-10 mins to cross Pulia even at peak hours.

Dear Akhil

I too to what Nitesh said.we are being penalized as crossing republik residents for the convinience of outsiders.even I have seen crossing guards instructing the outside bikes n autos to take the route between prateek n assotech to move towards the pulia .I think making an alternate way exclusively for crossing citizens could help

He talked as if  I was a pickpocket or a Bicycle thief and was angry at me if I have done crime of the century.  Fortunately, one of his seniors intervened and let me go.

>All I want to say is, we the residents of crossing get to divert our routes in opposite direction, get penalized and harassed by police, and get stuck in a jam for half an hour just for the convenience of people from outside crossing going from Ghaziabad to NOIDA  so that they can easily pass through our township to avoid any inconvenience  at NH24 as I believe more than half of the vehicles at the jam are from outside crossing. Hopefully we will get rewarded for our deeds in this life.  Instead of barricading and diverting paths for crossing residents, a barricade should be at entrance towards ABES college from 8:00 to 10:00 with entry to only those vehicles which are coming to Crossing.  Broadening of pulia will only attract more and more traffic from Ghaziabad to NOIDA.  Please correct me if I am wrong.  I hope that I am wrong and situation do improve.
