The bank should handover all the original docs (sale deed, registration, allotment) and give u a noc. You should also crosscheck that all the pages are in order in the original docs.
You should not have signed it when u realized that 1 doc is missing.

Check with the builder they must be having it with them. The original registration documents and all papers relating to your home is with the builder. They don't handover to the banks.Sheker
I had prepaid my housing loan in ING Vysya Bank in 2014 and got it closed. However after the closure it returned me only following documents :1) Original Allotment Letter2) Original Tripartite Agreement3) Original Permission to Mortgage4) Original Payment Receipts5) Original Demand LetterING Vysya Bank did not returned my original registered Sale deed even after closure of Home Loan.
