Dear Sir / Madam,
This is to bring to your Notice that Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam (GNN) has started construction work of dumping ground at Dhundhera Village near Crossing Republik in Ghaziabad District. This dumping ground is at a distance of less than 200 mtr. from residential area of Crossing Republik & Nearby Villages. More than 25000 families are expected to live in these areas.
In the past several objections were raised to the concerned authorities (Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam, Ghaziabad Development Authorities) on the proposed dumping ground. But despite all these objections, GNN has moved forward and illegally started the construction of dumping ground. They have also overlooked the law that a dumping ground must have 500 meters of boundary on all sides from a residential area.
I would also like to bring to your attention that GNN has started construction without approval from Directorate of Environment. Thus it is clear that they do not have necessary approvals from state body and central ministry to go ahead with the construction.
I am bought a flat in Ansal Aquapolis and having serious concerns on development of dumping ground in the vicinity of a residential area. Constructing a dumping ground near a residential area will lead to serious health problems for my family members and all other persons and living in this area.
I request you to look into it and advise the concern department to immediately stop the construction and relocate the dumping ground away from residential area.
