Dear all,
Please refer the article on high electricity charges in HT property yesterday. This clearly says that builders are taking high electricity charges, but crossing /mahagun is above all and charging almost 50% higher from what it should be.
As per this article it should be Rs 2.80 per unit , but builders are charging Rs 3.20 , which is higher as per Article.
But referring to PASCHIMANCHAL VIDYUT VITRAN NIGAM Ltd (order tariff), who is responsible for power distribution for western Uttar Pradesh (including Ghaziabad), the rates are mentioned are hereunder.
- This traffic order clearly specifies Domestic charging basis is should be as per KWH , whereas industrial charges should be based on KVAH.
- Apart from above the traffic power for supply at single point for bulk load for domestic load is much less than what we are paying.
Fixed Charge – Rs. 40.00 / kW/month (refer page 165 & 166)
Energy Charge - Rs. 3.20/kWh (refer page 165 & 166)
If we calculate for 6 KW & 500 unit for month , the difference is as following
Detail | What we are paying (INR) | What we should pay (INR) | Difference |
Fixed cahrges (For 6 KW connection) | 6X65= | 390 | 6X40= | 240 | 150 |
Consumption cahrge (assuming 500 unit/Month) | 500X4.19= | 2095 | 500X3.20= | 1600 | 495 |
| | | | | |
Total | | 2485 | | 1840 | 645 |
This to is based on KWH calculation, but as per our agreement we are paying as per KVAH. If we pay as per KWH, then again we will save atleast 20-30 % per month, Which is again a huge sum of money.
I request MMRWA to take this matter on TOP Priority and ask Mahagun /CSK for revision of rate , otherwise we can go to consumer court and they will feel the consequences for same.
