Re: [CROMA] Re: Urgent! Lift Rescue Process in GH-7 is not sufficient

Hi Abhishek,

I do not think that these issue can be resolved by talking one to one to Crossings maintenance department. I am from Tower 5, block E3 and Auto rescue in one of the two lift is also not working. There was atleast two times when i and my family got stuck in the lift and fortunately back up started in 5 mins but even 5 mins are more than tolerable in this summer in the lift. Now i always avoid going into the lift in which Auto rescue does not work. I have been talking to them from last 2-3 month about the issue and every time they say only one thing that we have ordered the faulty device but vendor is not supplying the one and giving excuses. We all know that in these high rise towers lifts can not be avoided and these kind of situations where Auto rescue is not working and backup is not getting started with few seconds, can be lift threatning.

I would suggest all crossing infra guys who are facing this issue to decide one particular day and gather at the Maintenace office then only they will listen to us and we should give them one timeline.

Please suggest if you have some better idea.

Thanks,
Rohit

Hi All,

Now onwards the Lift Keys will be available with On duty Guard at each tower in GH-7. Also the Gaurds have been trained to open the lift door with the keys. I personally checked the keys were available with Guard at Tower-1 Block-E1  and hope the same in each block.

However it is a secondary solution to lift rescue process but this can help saving us from prolonged suffocation inside the lift. Thanks to Mr. Verma (maintenance office) for his quick response on this matter.

The primary solutions as below is still not in place: (not even in progress)

1. Auto Recsue enabled in each lift (I can confirm it is faulty in Tower-1, Block-E1)
2. Auto Power On of Power Back-up Generators (I can confirm it is faulty in Tower-1)

Because of this Power & lift resotration takes minimum 10-15 minutes in Tower-1 and may take even more which is very inconvenient sometimes when you are in hurry.

Anyone can suggest how to persue further on this matter as maintenance Office seems helpless about getting this done?

Subject: Urgent! Lift Rescue Process in GH-7 is not sufficient

Hi All,

I would like to share a serious concern regarding Lift Rescue Procedure in GH-7 and need support from CRIS Team. (Not sure how it is in other Crossing societies)

Today I got stuck in the Tower-1  lift for about 15 minutes (9 AM) and no help could reach me (The guard was helpless). I almost got suffocated inside the lift. Also I could not open the lift from inside due to specific position of the lift in my case (between ground floor and parking area).

When investigated the reason of delay I got surprised: (We all know the length of power failure durations in GH-7)

·         There are only 3 Lift operators in all 9 towers of GH-7 and one operator has to handle 30 Lifts, so it is impossible to help two persons at far ends in 15 minutes of time.
·         More important is that the lift key is with operator, so no one else can help the poor guy inside the lift.

In case of Kids and old aged person this could result in life threatening incident, even youngsters can also suffer in prolonged lift failure which is very much possible with current amount of power supply & low skills of DG maintenance staff.

I discussed this Mr. Verma (Present In charge) at Maintenance office and suggested to hand over the lift keys at each guard station and give a 10 minute training to all gaurds about its usage which is as simple as opening a normal domestic lock.

Mr. Verma has liked the suggestion, made a note in his diary and assured the action on this.

I request the CRIS members & representatives to raise this concerns in joint forums and get a solution to this problem.

Regards
Abhishek Singh
