On Sunday 22-Sep-2013 at Orange Country, Indirapuram
Federation of AOA has taken a unique initiative to organize an interactive session to know how a local law enforcement and private security can create a safer environment to protect the residents of multi story apartment system.
Attendees:
o Senior Officers of more than 22 security agency participated
o More than 100 Office Bearers of various societies
o Senior Officers of Maintenance Agencies
o Police officers of the area
Speaker: Shri Ranvijay Singh, DSP, Indirapuram Zone (U.P. Police)
· Shri Manoj Gupta, President of OCAOA, delivered his welcome address.
· Shri Alok Kumar, President of Federation of AOA explained the need of such interactive sessions on regular basis and emphasise that coordination between private security guards and local police officers is the need of hour.
· Shri SK Pal, Chief Advisor, Federation of AOA explained the agenda.
· Participants were asked to notify the key issues to the Police authorities and complication for further course of the action.
· Mr Ranvijay Singh, DSP, Indirapuram zone appreciated for this initiative taken by FedAOA
Key Points Addressed By Shri Ranvijay Singh (DSP, Indirapuram):
o Private security guards needs to work beyond acting like a gate keeper, they have all rights to question the identity of any person entering in the society and they must stop entry of any unauthorised person without any fear or pressure.
o Societies are paying hefty amount in private security therefore they should take the responsibility and work hard to protect the residents from any unwanted events.
o Training to the guards needs to be provided by understanding the practical/local situations so that they could be more efficient.
o Guidelines by the police shall be made for the employment of security guards.
o Training of security agency will be provided at police line by the police so that they can train their security guards.
o All the help line numbers shall be provided to residents though Federation of AOA
o Initiative will be taken to create new help line number for senior citizens
o Police department will start working on verification and registration of Paying Guests.
o RWA/AOA should take the responsibility to take photograph and finger prints of all working people like maids, guards and maintenance team in addition to police verification.
o Police verification of tenants is the responsibility of landlord and in case of any failure, landlord will be held responsible for any adverse event.
o Initiative will be taken to create independent police station for Indirapuram
o 57 CCTV has been installed at various stations and still work to install more CCTV camera are on card
o Unauthorised parking and encroachment issue shall be taken with the coordination of residents
o Sh Ran Vijay Singh Ji responded on all the issues and emphasized on need for the residents to become and behave with more maturity and responsibility with their security guards also.
