They never check for pin so you can give pin of nearest area. I gave 201001 in passport application as system didn't accept 201016 which was in my address proof and got passport renewed without any hassles. In fact their system itself suggest to provide the nearest pin in case specific pin doesn't exist in their database. so don't worry :)

When I was applying for passport renew, system does not recognize PIN Code -201016. Have anybody applied for passport reissue with Pin-201016 ? In this case what pin we should enter ? And If that pin does match with actual address proof pin(201016), then wont it be a problem in further proceedings ?
If any body has experince then please suggest me .
