Re: [CROMA] Re: [Xing] Re: Blood donation camp 16-Aug on occasion of Independence Day

Dear Pooja / Mustafa Ahmed,

My mail (below) was not intended to demotivate others in donating blood, rather it should be taken as a mail to encourage others to go the extra mile and donate blood for the people who need it directly, by observing that there are some who take out time and travel to AIIMS to donate blood so that people who are in need can get it free of cost and don't have to buy blood.
Ofcourse, in our busy life, all could not devote such time, so it is always better to donate blood in these type of blood-donation camps which are held at your doorstep. Although those will be sold, but there won;t be any shortage of blood in bloodbanks.

Regards
Vikram

Fully in agreement with Miss Pooja on this...whether you want to donate or not is solely your wish & no one is persuading you to do the same however please refrain from demoralising & demotivating others by writing in such comments as those who do want to be associated with this noble cause just next to their homes itself by way of this camp may not be able to do it otherwise even after willing to do the same due to their busy schedules & daily routines.

Lets try & appreciate any initiative taken by anyone which is for a cause & helps our society...

Dear all,
I respect if you do not like to donate blood to any camp.
I also respect if you donate your blood at these camps.
It will never be possible for 100% residents/people to donate blood in any camp.
I request do not send mails to the group for telling how, why and where you donate blood. As its completely your personal choice.
I am respect Mr. Sanjay Jha or anyone has taken an initiative to organise a camp in association with rotary club or any club.
Any work with right intention should be encouraged.
Its perfectly fine if you do not want to be a part of blood donation camp.
But please restrain yourself sending unnecessary mail... it demotivate people.
Hope we all spend our energy in constructive issue...
Regards,
Pooja

Yes, blood collected from these camps will reach blood banks, which will ultimately be sold to the needy.
I prefer to go AIIMS, donate blood, get the card, and give it to someone in need (those who line up outside the blood bank in AIIMS), the needy will exchange the card for blood free of cost. And you will 'feel good'.

Vikram

I am regular doner and have donated on approx. 10 occassions till now but do not donate in camps like this after couple of bad experience with similar blood banks.

Prefer to donate blood directly to some one who is in need instead of camps like these.

My blood group is O+ve and if anyone is having requirement for themselves or for family member can get in touch with me.

Anyway good luck to organisers for their effort.
