Hi Vivek,
I got my passport renewed about 6 months back from GZB.
First i suggest you get all the required documents (whater possible) for identity & address proof. 1 year Bank statemnt of nationalized bank showing CR address is also acceptable and suggest you add this if possible. List of documents is available on their website. Aalso keep your education certificates.
You will then have to apply online for a appointment and also fill your application form online. I think there is minimum one month waiting time. On the scheduled date & time, you will enter and and get your documents will be screened. If ok, you will be given a token to proceed.
Next, you will have to go to the peon who is seated on the extreme left, front side of the hall where you will submit this token. From there you go to Section "A" where all documents will be scanned, your finger prints will be taken, I think your eyes will also be scanned.
From here to section "B" which is a mere formality BUT it takes a long time ( 2-3 hours wait) to get through. From there you proceed to Section "C". Again from B to C it is a painful wait of 2-3 hours minimum. Those who have appointments in the morning complete their Section C by evening. and those whose appointments are scheduled in afternoon have to wait till 6 PM and then they are told to deposit their forms and take the receipt from the exit counter.
Consider 1 full day for passport application. If possible avoid taking your kids along. they will get bored. Carry water :)
BTW, I used 201009 pincode which has been accepted. This pincode has to match that in address proof & bank statement
I hope this is of help to you.

They never check for pin so you can give pin of nearest area. I gave 201001 in passport application as system didn't accept 201016 which was in my address proof and got passport renewed without any hassles. In fact their system itself suggest to provide the nearest pin in case specific pin doesn't exist in their database. so don't worry :)On Sat, Aug 9, 2014 at 9:46 PM, kk pandey kkpandey_jsr@yahoo.co.in [crossings-republik] <crossings-republik@yahoogroups.com> wrote:
Hi All,When I was applying for passport renew, system does not recognize PIN Code -201016. Have anybody applied for passport reissue with Pin-201016 ? In this case what pin we should enter ? And If that pin does match with actual address proof pin(201016), then wont it be a problem in further proceedings ?If any body has experince then please suggest me .Regards,K K Pandey
