Yes your are right they do take one month advance but that's refundable and no delivery charges. Its same for milk with one month advance.

Also its personal opinion but I guess newspaper is waste of money and paper when we have such advance and smart Phone/Tab/Laptop, so why can't we be smart and use free apps from almost all major newspaper publishers.

They are free, does not take storage in home and no need to do bargain with Raddi wala.

I have not used newspaper for past 3 yes and still stay on top of news with Aajtak, NDTV, TOI, HT andany others.  Googles Play Newstand is amazing app with all your papers in one place.

this is a beginning of wrong practice not a matter of 10 rs/ ,very difficult to avoid.
in many societies in noida  they take one month advance before starting delivery.

If people can cry for not reading news paper for 7 day then I guess they should pay 10 rupees

I guess most of us can afford not to have paper for a week or so but non if theses vendor or newspaper will be able to afford blackout in a ara having circulation of 8000 newspaper.
By talking only to HT will not resolve the issue as I have seen that these vendor smartly deliver other newspaper in such situation. Hence if it's blackout than it should be for all newspapers.
It's matter of not just Rs. 10 a month but I it's started for many thing it will start like this.

Dear Residents,
Couple of us y'day meet with three paper vendors along with Munish who is distributing papers in Gaur Ajnara. He is leading the group and adamant to charge Rs 10 per month delivery charge from each of us though it's not valid.
Pls suggest what to do , as if we stop him then we must face problems by not delivering newspaper for a week or more.
One more thing , if we don't stop these hawkers at present, very soon they start asking for more n we will pay happily.

Rest, in our hands, pls suggest.
